High Performance Centre for Dunedin

OURC has joined with Rowing NZ and Otago University to provide a high performance centre in Dunedin over the winter months. The partnership will see a full time coach working out of the OURC sheds, providing expert coaching to RPC and other aspiring athletes based in Dunedin over the winter.

Otago University have won the 2009 Xinjin Water City International University Rowing Regatta in China. Otago beat Sydney (AUS), Trinity College (USA) and Peking University (CHN) in the final in front of a crowd of over 100,000. Otago Win Heat

Otago has won their heat at the International University Rowing Regatta in China. Otago beat Sydney university in their heat by just over a length. Otagos time was 6 seconds faster than the winner of the 2nd heat Trinity College (USA) who were ahead of Peking and Yale.
